Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer position. With over 17 years of
experience in IT infrastructure, data center administration, disaster recovery, virtualization, cloud
computing, networking, and enterprise systems, I bring extensive experience in designing, implementing,
managing, and optimizing highly available and secure IT environments.
Throughout my career, I have been responsible for managing critical enterprise infrastructure and data center
operations, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, VMware vSphere,
networking, firewalls, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring. I have strong hands-
on experience in maintaining business-critical systems while ensuring high availability, performance, security,
and operational continuity.
My expertise includes data center infrastructure management, server and virtualization administration,
cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery planning and implementation, backup and replication, high-
availability solutions, network and security infrastructure, system hardening, capacity planning, and
performance optimization. I have also been involved in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues,
implementing infrastructure improvements, managing production changes, and developing recovery and
rollback procedures.
I have a strong understanding of cloud computing and hybrid infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure and
Microsoft Entra ID, and have experience supporting cloud adoption, identity integration, resource
optimization, monitoring, security, and hybrid connectivity. My virtualization experience includes VMware
vSphere technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and virtual infrastructure
management.
Disaster recovery and business continuity have been an important part of my infrastructure responsibilities. I
have experience with DR architecture, backup strategies, replication, recovery planning, RPO/RTO definition,
DR testing, and restoration of critical services, ensuring that infrastructure remains resilient against hardware
failures, service disruptions, and major incidents.
In addition to technical expertise, I bring a strong focus on security, automation, documentation, incident
management, change management, and continuous improvement. I am comfortable working independently
as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and management to deliver reliable and scalable
infrastructure solutions.
