Experience: 5+ years
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator with a Structural Engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in steel fabrication, estimation, quantity take-offs, and tendering.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate estimates, BOQs, and MTOs for structural steel projects.
Review structural, architectural, and fabrication drawings.
Calculate material, fabrication, erection, and project costs.
Prepare quotations and technical/commercial proposals.
Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams.
Support cost optimization and value engineering.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in structural steel estimation/fabrication.
Strong knowledge of steel structures, fabrication, and erection.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Tekla knowledge is an advantage.
Experience with BOQ, MTO, tendering, and project costing.
Knowledge of AISC, Eurocode, BS, or similar standards is preferred.
GCC/UAE steel industry experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Own/Freelance visa preferred.
