CNC Operator – Woodworking & Joinery
Job Description
Wood Working World FZE is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join our woodworking and joinery production team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience operating CNC routers and nesting machines and be familiar with woodworking and joinery production.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC routers and nesting machines for cutting and machining wood-based materials.
Read and understand shop drawings, cutting lists, dimensions, and CNC programs.
Check finished components for accurate dimensions, drilling positions, grooves, and edge details.
Perform basic machine setting and adjustments as required.
Select and change cutting tools, drill bits, and router bits when necessary.
Monitor machine operation and report programming, tooling, or machine issues to the supervisor.
Handle MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, and other materials carefully to minimize damage and wastage.
Coordinate with production, cutting, assembly, and quality-control teams to meet daily production targets.
Carry out basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance according to factory procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe working area and follow all health, safety, and quality requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a woodworking, joinery, furniture, or fit-out factory.
Good knowledge of woodworking and board materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, and solid wood.
Ability to read and understand technical/shop drawings and cutting lists.
Experience with CNC routers and nesting machines.
Knowledge of CNC tooling, drilling, routing, and basic machine settings.
Ability to work accurately under production deadlines.
Physically fit and able to work safely in a factory environment.
GCC/UAE woodworking or joinery experience is an advantage.
