The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies. The role ensures accurate stock records, proper storage practices, and timely availability of items while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes. Store materials and products in an organized and secure manner. Issue materials and supplies according to authorized requests. Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and notify management when replenishment is required. Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of all items. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the storeroom. Prepare inventory, stock movement, and monthly store reports. Coordinate with the purchasing and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow. Follow company policies and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage. Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar role preferred. Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to lift and move materials when required.
