Transmission RnR (Remove & Refit) Technician

Location: Sharjah, UAE
Position: Full-Time
Immediate Joining Preferred

German Star Gear is one of the UAE's leading automatic transmission repair specialists. We are expanding our workshop and are looking for experienced Transmission Remove & Refit Technicians who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Remove and reinstall automatic and manual transmissions from passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
Remove and refit related drivetrain components including transfer cases, propeller shafts, subframes, drive shafts, crossmembers, starter motors, exhaust systems, cooling lines, and wiring harnesses.
Support transmission overhaul technicians by preparing and reinstalling repaired units.
Inspect surrounding mechanical components during removal and report any wear, leaks, or damage.
Follow workshop procedures to ensure all vehicles are reassembled correctly and safely.
Carry out final checks before handing vehicles over for road testing.
Maintain proper care of workshop tools, transmission jacks, lifts, and equipment.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with workshop safety standards.

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of GCC/UAE automotive workshop experience.
Proven experience removing and reinstalling transmissions without supervision.
Experience working on German, Japanese, American, or luxury vehicles is an advantage.
Familiarity with automatic, CVT, DSG/DCT, and 4WD transmission systems is preferred.
Ability to understand workshop repair manuals and follow technical procedures.
Knowledge of torque specifications and correct assembly practices.
Able to diagnose basic mechanical issues encountered during removal and installation.
Physically fit and comfortable performing demanding workshop tasks throughout the day.
Strong time management skills with the ability to complete jobs within allocated labour hours.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues when required.
Responsible, disciplined, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.
No history of repeated absenteeism or poor attendance.

Preferred Qualities:
Experience using engine support bars, transmission jacks, hydraulic lifts, and workshop equipment.
Basic understanding of vehicle diagnostics and electronic systems.
Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Immediate availability is preferred.
