JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Cook assists in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff, ensuring recipes are followed and food is produced to quality standards. Experience in Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisines.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking under supervision.
• Follow recipes, portion guides, and plating instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station.
• Assist with stock rotation and mise en place preparation.
• Report any food quality or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Support the team during high-volume service periods.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Culinary certificate or vocational training.
• 1–2 years of kitchen experience in Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisines
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Eagerness to learn and work in a team environment.
