Job Summary
We are looking for a precise and experienced Sheet Metal Draughtsman to transform design concepts into highly detailed fabrication drawings. You will closely collaborate with our engineering and workshop teams to design functional, manufacturable metal cabinets and enclosures, ensuring optimized material usage and flawless assembly.
Key Responsibilities
• Create precise 2D drafting layouts and 3D models for sheet metal cabinets using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
• Generate accurate flat patterns, manufacturing layouts, bending lines, and assembly details.
• Collaborate with fabrication supervisors and production engineers to refine designs for manufacturing efficiency.
• Prepare complete Bill of Materials (BOM) and detailed cutting lists for the workshop.
• Ensure all designs strictly adhere to project parameters, quality protocols, and fabrication tolerances.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsmanship, or a related technical domain.
• Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience as a Draughtsman specializing in architectural metal works or sheet metal enclosures.
• Master level operation of AutoCAD and SolidWorks (specifically sheet metal modeling features).
• In-depth understanding of standard fabrication processes including laser cutting limitations, bending rules, and welding clearances.
